Everything seems great until I try to run the patch program to update the fd.c file. All of the hunks fail, and I can't get it to work. (And cannot recompile the kernel -- it gives out a stop error while working on fd.c. Can someone email me their fd.c file (I am running 1.1.5.1) or point me in the right direction? Thanks. Also I want to thank all the people who have helped me so far (advising me on modem configuration & on which tape backup unit to buy.) I am following your advice! --Bill --------------------- William Allison Ian Freed Consulting, Inc. Seattle, WA 98104 Tel: 206.583.8919 FAX: 206.583.8941 http://www.ifc.com/
