Perhaps I missed it :-) There are broad similarities between John-Mark's design and mine and I have corresponded with him in the past on the subject. This system was actually designed and mostly implemented about a year ago, long before I was away of John-Marks ideas. Now that I have added a flexible system for driver method registration (inspired by the vnode interface system), I believe that I have a robust framework which will adapt to most if not all of the different types of bus in common use.
