CPUTYPE=3Dp4 is not supported in 5.1-RELEASE, but was compensated for by using p3 internally. However, I bet you're still using non-standard CFLAGS or CXXFLAGS. If so, switch back to using default CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS, and the build should work for you.
