If you get to the point of configuring your video card, the OS is running. Sometimes getting X to work on your hardware can be a challenge. Don't be surprised if X doesn't immediately work on your hardware. For questions like this, you need to tell us which version of X you're running and then include the errors you get, verbatim. > I HAVE LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES AT THE TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT AND > NOBODY ANSWER MY CALLS. As I understand it, Wind River doesn't support FreeBSD anymore. Wind River Systems was supporting FreeBSD up until late last year, I think. You usually won't find free phone support for UNIX and UNIX-like OSs. Most of the support happens through newsgroups, mailing lists, like this one, and sometimes a knowledgeble friend whom you might know. Or you can hire a consultant; but, that's not anywhere close to "free." :-) > IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN GET MY MONEY > BUT THIS OS IS NOT WORKING IN MY COMPUTER AND THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT IS LOUSY > AND THE INSTALLATION BOOK IS NOT UP TO DATE You'll probably be wasting your time trying to get your money back. But, really, it's probably worth your while to get X going. If XFree 4.X won't run on your hardware, I'll bet XFree 3.3.X will. It sounds like you're actually pretty close to getting a working BSD box. Is AOL your only provider? You might need to upgrade your ISP if so. One last thing--please turn off the caps lock on your next email. Writing in upper case is very poor netiquette; it means that you're yelling at everyone reading your post. Remember, no one *has* to help you out. Therefore, good manners are important in these lists. You can bet there are *lots* of people who can yelp you here. But you have to learn how to ask questions in a way that doesn't piss everybody off or confuse them so that they can't understand what you're trying to ask.
