Heh.  But kitties are amennable to parallel soultion, or to gated
tasking (through a kitty-door) because each kitty is topoligically
equivalent.

So you could:

Open gate <-----.
    |           |
    v           |
Obtain cat      |
    |           |
    v           |
Close gate      |
    |           |
    v           |
"Process" cat   | <- subroutine detailed in original posting
    |           |
    v           |
More cats? Y----'
    N

  done

I call this approach KATS-switching...  8-).
