https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D262009 Bug ID: 262009 Summary: net-mgmt/blackbox_exporter: ICMP doesn't work Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: bsam@FreeBSD.org Reporter: lapo@lapo.it Flags: maintainer-feedback?(bsam@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: bsam@FreeBSD.org Package description is currently this: blackbox_exporter is a prometheus exporter. The blackbox exporter allows blackbox probing of endpoints over HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, TCP and ICMP. but currently ICMP probes can't work because binary is not suid. I'd say either remove ICMP from description or think about changing the Por= t to actually allow ICMP probes to work out of the box. PS: I see we also have in the Ports a "ping_exporter" which might be better= in that regard anyways=E2=80=A6 but OTOH I'd prefer to use blackbox for that t= oo, for sake of simplicity and number of running daemons. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
