I cant do that The ip address to A is assigned by an administrator. Only thing I can do is to change the address and netmask on B and the card to R that connects to B. I did so by changing the netmask to 255.255.255.252. In doing so I could ping R on both the interfaces but still cant ping A. Any help is greatly appreciated.
