I have # $FreeBSD: src/etc/defaults/pccard.conf,v 1.98.2.31 2002/05/16 06:18:21 imp Exp $ I am currently using the ORiNOCO card on this machine. For more details about it, see the following page: http://web.cs.cmu.edu/~dpelleg/X23_freebsd.html I'm thinking something simpler, like an option I left out of the kernel or the way I'm starting pccardd. FWIW, booting with GENERIC didn't help, and the pccardd line looks like: pccardd -f /etc/defaults/pccard.conf Any ideas?
