I purchased FreeBSD from Walnut Creek CDrom -- version 4.x. I am installing on a RAID 10 array of 4 45gig drives using a 3ware Escalade 6000 the command on the screen (visual mode) is: Doing newfs -b 8192 -f 1024 /mnt/dev/rtwed0s1f there is no indication of activity on the screen, but I can hear at least one of the drives accessing.
