Running >Freeb4.7. .so.14 were used with XFree86-3 and Mesa3 i think. _if_ you are using XFree86-4, please add XFREE86_VERSION= 4 to /etc/make.conf, then deinstall Mesa3, reinstall XFree86-4-libraries and reinstall blender (i don't know, if blender needs Mesa...) this will give you libGL.so.1 and libGLU.so.1 (remove the .14 if they are still there) if you are using XFree86-3, then i can't help you, sorry.
