I am trying to setup a server that will allow clients to resume downloads. I am using a bog standard apache 1.3.20 installation and several browsers. I've tried IE 5.0, IE 5.5, Netscape 4.76. When I start downloading a file, it asks me what to save the file as. If I interrupt the download and try again, it starts from the beginning. If I use wget or fetch off of the same server, for the same file, the resume works ok. Any ideas on what I need to do to allow browsers to continue?
