further analysis suggests that the label on the tin can will show the 
following numbers in large digits, please confirm:

Richard: Win/TV 406(?):
 f1 db					<- (hauppauge) tuner model# 56305

Michael: WinCast 400:
 25 db					<- (hauppauge) tuner model# 56101

Steve: WinCast 401:
 2f db					<- (hauppauge) tuner model# 56111

Louie: WinCast 401:
 2f db					<- (hauppauge) tuner model# 56111

Amancio: WinCast 401:
 2f db					<- (hauppauge) tuner model# 56111
