Hi, so far: 1: modified i386/isa/icu.s and i386/isa/vector.s to do "the good thing" tried both APIC_IO and non APIC_IO versions of merged SMP kernel, keyboard input hosed at single-usr prompt 2: reverted to i386/isa/syscons.c v1.186 reverted to i386/include/console.h v1.25 tried non APIC_IO version of merged SMP kernel, boots, starting 2nd CPU causes spontanious REBOOT 3: reverted to pre-merge icu.s and vector.s tried non APIC_IO version of merged SMP kernel, boots, starting 2nd CPU causes spontanious REBOOT conclusion: the problem is (probably) not in icu.s or vector.s something has changed in -current that is eating our shorts... -- Steve Passe | powered by smp@csn.net | FreeBSD
