Okay, I've solved this whole problem!  I decided not to mess around with
chflags since it obviously wasn't working.  Instead, I moved
/usr/src/games/dm to /tmp, and I commented out the line \ dm in
/usr/src/games/Makefile.  That allowed me to make world.  
Then I used *mergemaster* to update my /etc directory.  It was
beautiful.  Thanks for your comments and replies, Joseph.
