Fortunately this list is saved in a file somewhere in tmp (it tells you the location, I can't remember it now) so I chose the safe way, wrote a small script and moved all these files to a backup folder. Run mergebase again, success this time and after changing the Modules path as suggested in UPDATING my X was up and running in full glory. I have not observed any problems yet (I still have the backup). Probably this will be the solution for you as well. Manolis
