Hi all, the default rc.conf in /etc/defaults had the line ldconfig_paths
set to "/usr/lib/compat /usr/X11R6/lib /usr/local/lib". However, ld still
does not look at /usr/local/lib while linking? I have to specify
-L/usr/local/lib to gcc for the build to be successful. The system is 3.2
and ld -v gives GNU ld version 2.9.1 (with BFD 2.9.1) and gcc -v gives gcc
version 2.7.2.1.

What have I not done to include /usr/local/lib into the default ld search
paths?

Many thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Juay Kwang
