This is what I get when i try it: $xwd -frame | xwdtopnm | pnmtops > /tmp/xfmail.ps xwdtopnm: writing PPM file pnmtops: maxval of 65535 is too large for PostScript Broken pipe The xv option works just perfectly fine.
