I installed FreeBSD for the first time a couple of days ago and everything has worked except my CD-ROM. My CD-ROM is a Pioneer DR-UA124X. The CD-ROM worked with Linux and Windows 95 and it's the primary slave. It didn't get detected during the installation. The generic kernel couldn't find it, nor could the kernel that I compiled myself. How do I get the CD-ROM to work?
