That's not a valid argument. We already have several ways to export data from the kernel to userland. You need to demonstrate why we need a new one, and specifically why we need the one you propose. If your only argument is "it needs to integrate with Nagios", then, well, if there isn't one already, I can write you a plugin that will allow Nagios to monitor any existing or future numeric sysctl node.
