 Something funky is wrong with your PC I have hald running without any issues.
 
 Some of these issues can be caused by buggy chips, buggy drivers for
 your specific chip etc..
 
 Also very difficult to debug without any errors, debug info or core
 dumps. If possible can you supply those?
