I'm very _frustrated_ with it. There is NO or very POOR document on how to use ppp program to install FreeBSD anywhere on the internet for me to troubleshoot!! I was able to get online, but going NOWHERE whatsoever. I could NOT figure it out why. I've followed the document #209 General PPP Setup for Configuring any PPP/PAP Software from the IBM.NET web help site to the last detail. I'm not an expert on how to use ppp manually. I need a better document on how to configure ppp to install FreeBSD via FTP. I used this to "set up" the ppp program: enable dns set log local phase set phone 7151601 set authname internet.. set authkey set timeout 120 set ifaddr 10.0.0.1/0 10.0.0.2/0 255.255.255.0 add 0 0 HISADDR Then, type term. Dial out & logon. It said, "Begin TCPIP communication now". So, I typed ~. It looks like this: ppp ON greyhound> The letter ppp did not change from lowercase to uppercase! I got online, but couldn't go anywhere?! Did anyone were able to install via FTP with ibm.net account?! I'd like to install FreeBSD 3.2 on the laptop and start to use it! Thanks.
