I'd appreciate it if someone could help this guy out. Jeffrey ----------------------------forwarded message----------------------------- >From zkoppany@multix.de Tue Jul 25 08:09:09 1995 Date: Tue, 25 Jul 1995 08:57:58 +0100 From: Zsolt Koppany <zkoppany@multix.de> I have just received the FreeBSD2.0.5 CD, and I tried to install because we would like to try to port PathFinder. FreeBSD2.0.5 does not support my CD drive thus I have copied files into a DOS partion. (The d: drive has a 150Mb DOS and 370Mb are free for FreeBSD). xcopy /s e:\dists\bin d:\freebsd xcopy /s e:\floppies d:\freebsd I set the 'Media' to DOS partion but I did receive the error message as follows: Couldn't get root image from wd1s1. Will try to get it from floppy. What is the problem ?
