No I don't think so. Rather, I think this is expected. It looks like the JPI wants gtk12. This is fine when you're using a version of Mozilla compiled with gtk12. However, when you're using mozilla-devel-gtk2, the gtk12 symbols won't be resolvable. Try moving the Java plugin out of the way, and see if the bus error goes away.
