https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D233087 Bug ID: 233087 Summary: Should we remove hald from documentation and REQUIRE blocks in service files? Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: 0mp@FreeBSD.org Depends on: 209532 AFAIK, hald is not required anymore as its functionality has been replaced = by devd (at least on FreeBSD). If this is true, then we should probably do not mention hald in our documentation and remove it from various service files we've got in the por= ts tree.
