Hi,

I would very much like to use afbackup in replacement of my current
script but unfortunately, there is a problem.

It seems like you don't like long ints of more than 4 bytes. My
server is a Digital Alpha (ok. Compaq). It is a 64 bits machine with
long ints of 8 bytes.

If you didn't think about 64bits machines, I'd be glad to be your 64
bits tester. ;)
