Hello I am trying to get the sound on my freebsd 4.4 install to work. I am logged in as root and am trying to execute the command 'kldload snd' as part of the process to get sound working. However, this command does not respond and even pressing ctrl-c won't stop it. Once it rebooted the machine and the other time I had to do a manual reboot (ctrl-alt-delete) to get out of the stalled command. I've done some searching online but I can't really find any help other than how to get sound running using the kldload command. Can someone out there please tell me why 'kldload snd' is not working and what I can do to get it to work? Thanks in advance Desmond
