I just upgraded to a fresh install of the new system and istalled a second Adaptec SCSI crontroller. I had been upgrading the kernel regularly, newest about two weeks old. No programs ever gave me any problems like this. I tried to copy an older imake ad run that one instead, and it worked fine.
