Hi,
I am trying to get my soundcard to work and someone suggested I write
to this address. Before I upgraded from FreeBSD 3.0 to 3.1 I had my sound
card working, but now there seems to be some problem. Before, all I would
do was at boot type "-c" and go into the

  config>

menu where I would type:

  config> pnp 1 0 enable
  config> pnp 1 0 os port0 0x220 port1 0x330 port2 0x388 irq1 5 drq0 1
drq 5

and everything was fine from then on. With 3.1, I press <space> right
before FreeBSD loads and then a : boot -c to get into that same prompt.
My card seems to work after that but when I reset the computer all the
settings go away and I have these lines in my "dmesg"

 Probing for PnP devices:
CSN 1 Vendor ID: CTL0025 [0x25008c0e] Serial 0x0002b0e7 Comp ID:
@@@0000 [0x00000000]
This is a SB16 PnP, but LDN 0 is disabled

Is there a way I can save my settings with 3.1 so that I don't have to
go into the "config" menu every time I boot? Is there a file or
something I need to edit or is this a command?
Thanks.

Raymond
