Dmesg is only showing the cpu has the options but the bios controls= the ability to use it . Iirc hp has some opaque options to enable high perf= ormance mode in the bios . This usually kills most of the power management s= tuff . Google for low latency tunings for your model and chances are you wi= ll find a pdf with options for making the host eat more power and improve la= tency as well as options that save power at the expense of increasing latenc= y. --- Mark Saad | nonesuch@longcount.org >=20
