Yes, it is supported.  Proof?  I'm using it right now.  The key lies in 
the Adaptec SCSI BIOS configuration.  There are several options listed as 
"for compatiblity with UNIX and other operating systems", these need to 
be changed in order for the card to work.  Just browse through the 
configuration settings, and you'll see what I mean.
