I have installed freebsd 2.2.7 on my Penitium mmx machine, bu t i ahave a strange and annoying thing: the keyboard rate. During installation i choose the fast setting and it's ok on the console. But onc ei run X the xterm become really slow and i cannot change the kb rate. Returning to the console, the rate fast reamin really slow but i can use the kbdcontrol -r fast to modifiy the rate. In Xterm, running th esame command, i get "setting keyboard rate: Inappropriate ioctl for device " after havin g runned the kbdcontrol -r fast. Any idea? Please note that the rate is so slow that i can barely work! thanks! marco To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
