I have a Panasonic CDROM drive connected to a SoundBlaster16 compatible board (from Genius) in a Pentium90 PC. I have found the following technical information - audiocard's I/O base address 220 - Panasonic CR-563-x 0.75 double speed drive The drive is not recognized while booting and also no driver is loaded after the first part of the installation of FreeBSD 2.0. BTW I heard that the drive is supported by Linux. I have the following questions: Is there a driver for the Panasonic CDROM drive available for FreeBSD 2.0? What should I do to make a boot floppy which recognized the drive (I still do not have a running version of FreeBSD). Thanks for your time Ruud van Silfhout (rsilfhou@mmra1.ms.philips.nl)
