Of course, the rest of the programs -- those that do not respect it --
should not be used at all, or fixed to behave themselves.  I would even
go as far as asking anyone that finds out of one program that can not
understand EDITOR when set, would be welcome to report it with send-pr
so that it may be fixed by some happy-BSD-hacker.
