Does anyone know the resource requirements for a single BSD
socket ? I am tring to open 2,000 sockets on a single machine with
512meg of ram. I can only get 648 sockets before it locks up. I did a
"top' command while running a few sockets and noticed the socket
program used 888k of space with 400k resident. It there any place
to configure the kernel (header files) to get this size down. I set the
MAXUSERS to 2,000 on a kernel rebuild with no luck. Can anyone
help ?

Thankx,
Vince Kosmac
