I use NetBSD (both 1.5_Alpha and -current), i4b 0.90 and isp as a connection
to my provider. I do have incoming calls (using ipr) during this and the
connection does not get confused.

I would try to manually trigger the problem, put the isp interface in debug
mode and see what happenes.
