I just tried to compile the kernel of FreeBSD 4.1-RELEASE (I installed FreeBSD-4.0-CURRENT and synched /usr/src via CVSup). I created the options file in /usr/src/sys/i386/conf/zeus (if you need it, I can post it), went to /usr/src and started make buildkernel KERNEL=3Dzeus as it is described in /usr/src/UPDATING. After a while, I get those error messages: --<--<-------------------------------------------- =3D=3D=3D> vesa @ -> /usr/src/sys machine -> /usr/src/sys/i386/include touch opt_vga.h rm -f .depend mkdep -f .depend -a -nostdinc -D_KERNEL -DKLD_MODULE -I- -I. -I@ -I@/../include -I/usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/include /usr/src/sys/modules/vesa/../../i386/isa/vesa.c /usr/src/sys/modules/vesa/../../dev/syscons/scvesactl.c /tmp/cct15713.s:2379: Error: operands given don't match any known 386 instruction /tmp/cct15713.s:2395: Error: operands given don't match any known 386 instruction /tmp/cct15713.s:2396: Error: operands given don't match any known 386 instruction /tmp/cct15713.s:2401: Error: operands given don't match any known 386 instruction /tmp/cct15713.s:2406: Error: operands given don't match any known 386 instruction /tmp/cct15713.s:2411: Error: operands given don't match any known 386 instruction /tmp/cct15713.s:2416: Error: operands given don't match any known 386 instruction *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/obj/usr/src/sys/zeus. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/src. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/src. -->-->-------------------------------------------- Any ideas, how I could solve the problem?
