I sent a message to Asus just to make sure it's > not a problem with the BIOS. Definitely not. If you use LBA, cylinders are re-mapped. If you use LARGE, they are not. The BIOS can't easy boot anything beyond 1024 cylinders. If you use LBA, that means you can boot FBSD within the 8.4GB limit. I don't think it is possible to boot anything beyond 8.4GB.
