I have a Compaq DeskPro4000 (PII 233MMX) on which I installed FreeBSD-4.6.2 (-RELEASE) from boot floppies and FTP install. The problem is that the system hangs when rebooting - it hangs after displaying "Rebooting" on the console. This is happening with the GENERIC kernel, and has also happened with 4.6-RELEASE. I can't be sure but I think I was also having this problem with the earlier 4.5 release. Any advice, help, etc. appreciated. Thanks. PS: FWIW, Linux (2.4 kernel) and OpenBSD-3.1 do not exhibit the problem on this machine. -- Salman Ahmed ssahmed AT pathcom DOT com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
