What do you get? Please describe the problem, you see!

If X cannot start:
Configure X first!

If X starts, but you want to get KDE / Gnome:
One solution could be: Start kdm - then you could login graphicaly and=20
you could choose what session you like. To start kdm at startup:
add in /etc/ttys:
ttyv8 "/usr/local/bin/kdm -nodaemon" xterm on secure

Another solution could be:
startx /usr/local/bin/startkde
This should start X with kde

With kind regards,

Konrad
