Trying to install vga.pcf but having some problems. Running 4.5-Stable with XFree86-4.1.0.
did cp vga.pcf /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc
then as root in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc I did mkfontdir . but I get the following:
mkfontdir: Duplicate font names -misc-fixed-medium-r-semicondensed--13-120-75-75-c-60-iso8859-8

I've never had this problem before and I'm not sure what the heck is going on. I also tried the instructions from http://www.mail-archive.com/freemware@fastxs.net/msg00759.html which is
su
cp vga.pcf X-font-path/misc
compress X-font-path/vga.pcf
mkfontdir X-font-path/misc
xset fp rehash
but I get the same problem. Does anyone know of another place I can look for help on installing vga.pcf?
