just thought i'd re-iterate my previous email about calling X 'x-windows'. i see on the site that the main place i saw it done incorrectly has been fixed, but even today on IRC there are still people coming in saying that the BOOK now (the complete freebsd) is saying it's 'X-windows'. it may sound anal to expect everyone to get it right and call it 'X' or 'The X Windowing System', but out of common respect for the X consortium and out of respect for people who actually do try to get it right, i think it's important you guys act as role models and say things correctly. i realize you may not be responsible for the mis-phrasing of the term in the book, but perhaps you could forward this to people who can look after this mis-print and get it fixed? it's disappointing to be correcting people, only to have them say 'but the book says it's this way, so you must be wrong!'. yossman ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Yossarian Holmberg (yossman) yossman@yossman.org System Administrator, National Online http://www.yossman.org/ my statements are my own, not my employer's -- i do not speak for them.
