Running Samba 2.0.6 on 4.0-RELEASE, but I've seen this under Linux as well. The nmbd daemon occasionally goes deaf: Windows systems cannot browse resources and NT machines cannot find the Samba domain controller and log in. I've never heard of this problem (searched Deja and the mailing lists archive) on any Samba platform. The nmbd logs don't seem to have anything terribly helpful. killall nmbd;/usr/local/sbin/nmbd -D fixes (ahem) things, but it shouldn't be happening in the first place. -- --dennis <mailto://dennis.favro@utoronto.ca> To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
