The printer is connected via a parallel port so I don't think the computer is sending data too fast for the printer. I resolved the "staircase" problem I first encountered, with a simple text filter that changes newlines to a newline and a carriage return. What am I doing wrong. Please help. It may be a problem similar to Windows, where you have to specify options such as printing SPOOLED or RAW or something. Perhaps repost with more information, and the line from `dmesg -a` about your printer and/or parallel port. -- Peter Leftwich President & Founder Video2Video Services Box 13692, La Jolla, CA, 92039 USA +1-413-403-9555 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
