There is a slightly easier way: cd /where/the/smp/tree/is/sys/i386 cvs update -r v961006 isa/syscons.c include/console.h This is a "sticky" tag update. When new commits are made to these files, you *will not* get the new versions, you will remain at the 6th of october version. To undo this, you do a 'cvs update -A' and they will be unlocked.
