Based on my experience, the answers are "yes", "probably, since Mozilla works well," and "yes", respectively: - StarOffice works great under FreeBSD. Linux Netscape 4.7 works better under FreeBSD/emulated than under actual Linux, and FreeBSD deals better with the "memory hog bug," so emulated doesn't necessarily mean inferior. Plus emulation is a misnomer anyway, but that's a topic for another day. - I use Mozilla native to FreeBSD and Netscape 4.7 Linux, for max compatibility in the one case and stability in the other. - Mozilla builds natively on FreeBSD; I for one haven't gotten java to work; I'm sure it's possible but not as easy as using 4.7 Linux Netscape for pages that need java. > > Thanks in advance, > Wayne > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message -- Brian T.
