Right. What happens when you adjust prssi by itself then?

Right. That's going to lower the RSSI values that the hardware
reports/sees and muck things up a bit.

Either there's a spur somewhere, the boards are noisy, or there's some
external amplifier attached on the input side.

I'll ask one of the baseband guys tomorrow and see what they think.
This is a really old chip though. They may not remember. :-)
