We ended up testing it by using the 'Direct Connect' feature in Win98, so we know the cable is working, but I want to get this working with my FreeBSD machine :( My /etc/ttys looks like: ttyd0 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" dialup off secure ttyd1 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" dialup on secure ttyd2 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" dialup off secure ttyd3 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" dialup off secure My kernel/dmesg shows: sio0 at port 0x3f8-0x3ff irq 4 flags 0x10 on isa0 sio0: type 16550A sio1 at port 0x2f8-0x2ff irq 3 on isa0 sio1: type 16550A And, a kermit session looks like: Script started on Sat Apr 1 18:58:42 2000 You have mail. thelab# g[Kps ax | gfep [K[K[Krep ttyd 295 ??
