I decided to do a complete start from scratch with gnome 2.4 and so I deinstalled EVERY single port I have. I then rm -rf'd /usr/X11R6 as well just to make sure. I installed the x11/XFree86-4 port which went no problem. I then ran a make install clean in x11/gnome2. This got this far before erroring out: ===> Running ldconfig /sbin/ldconfig -m /usr/X11R6/lib ===> Registering installation for libgnome-2.2.3_1 ===> Returning to build of gnomeapplets2-2.4.0 Error: shared library "gnome-2.400" does not exist *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/x11/gnomeapplets2. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/x11/gnome2. Any ideas? I'm running: FreeBSD heather.xtaz.co.uk 5.1-CURRENT FreeBSD 5.1-CURRENT #0: Fri Sep 12 18:30:59 BST 2003 root@heather.xtaz.co.uk:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/HEATHER i386 Matt.
