: after it is abnormally closed (not handling the EOF on reads), but as far as : I'm aware, noone has yet to actually prove this to be true. For what it's worth, TIA had a similar bug and it was a bear to track down and fix on all the architectures. Non blocking I/O just isn't standardized enough :-(. Warner
