The following reply was made to PR ports/149020; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Corey Halpin <chalpin@cs.wisc.edu> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, amvandemore@gmail.com Cc: Subject: Re: ports/149020: sysutils/dvdisaster Inappropriate ioctl for device with atapicam/ahci Date: Sun, 19 Sep 2010 12:20:04 -0500 You appear to be using /dev/cd0 when the correct device is /dev/pass0. The error given by dvdisaster is entirely correct. The correct device to use under FreeBSD is mentioned in the dvdisaster documentation installed at: /usr/local/doc/dvdisaster-0.72/en/qa20.html Or online here: http://dvdisaster.net/en/qa20.html When run without arguments, the dvdisaster window displays the correct device files for all the devices it can use. ~crh
